Director of Project Management and Design required for a large property company based in East London
As the Director of Project Management and Design, you will be a key leader within our organization, responsible for overseeing and driving our property development projects. Your role will involve strategic planning, team management, budgeting, and ensuring design excellence. Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive vision for project management and design, aligning with SKG’s business goals.
- Drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in project execution.
Team Management:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team, including architects, engineers, and surveyors.
- Foster collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth within the team.
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from concept to completion.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop project budgets, monitor expenses, and manage cost control measures.
- Implement effective financial management practices.
Design Excellence and Compliance:
- Ensure design integrity, functionality, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects and designers to create innovative and sustainable solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. [We need to look at this element – PQS essential. Master’s degree?]
- Proven experience in project management and design within the property development sector.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, project management software)
