Director of Technology (Remote / USA Hours) - Johannesburg
Responsibilities
Requirements and Qualifications
- Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of hardware, software, and other IT systems
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including the hiring and training of staff
- Monitor and analyze system performance and implement ways to improve the efficiency of IT operations
- Ensure the organizations data is secure and protected
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and trends
- Partner with vendors and stakeholders to ensure all IT-related needs are met
- Establish and maintain relationships with IT vendors and service providers
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven experience as a Director of Technology or similar role
- Technology management and/or leadership experience
- In-depth knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
