Job Summary: As a Distribution Planner, you will become the expert in a specific geographic area where you will be balancing the most cost-effective and customer-focused schedule to meet both the company goals and customer demand. You will collaborate with supply chain teams internally to resolve the day-to-day challenges to continuously supply our customers in this fast-paced 24/7 environment, monitoring multiple systems throughout the day to provide world-class customer service to our valued customers. Principal Responsibilities: Promote Messer's safety goals and foster a positive team environment Schedule customer deliveries to avoid service interruptions at the lowest cost with the greatest utilization of assets and payloads Monitor alerts for changes in demand and adjust the delivery plan as needed to ensure continuous supply to customers Use proprietary software systems to accurately maintain data and determine forecasted customer demand Manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities, identifying and resolving customer and location issues Required Skills: Bachelor's Degree preferably in business, logistics or supply chain management OR 3 years of transportation dispatch, scheduling/planning experience acceptable in lieu of Bachelor's Degree Qualifications: Prior transportation experience preferred Effective written and oral communication skills Good analytical and math skills Strong customer service skills Capable of working efficiently with automated systems About Messer: Messer's safety culture, commitment to providing dependable supply and innovative gas technology solutions help customers unlock opportunities to be safer, more sustainable, more productive and more efficient, so their business thrives.
