The role is based at a Factory in Amanzimtoti. The Distribution Supervisor will report to the Warehouse Manager and will be responsible for all aspects related to the distribution operations of the business. Oversee distribution warehouse operations • Planning of labour teams, shifts and overtime to meet customer order requirements • Planning of stock holding and transfer between on-site storage and 3rd party storage providers • Manage off site storage at 3rd party warehouses • Manage the loading requirements for all export order requirements (containers and trucks) • Management of daily and weekly local customers order and ensuring OTIF is adhered to always • Oversight of all department administration tasks and communication • Ensure FIFO systems are managed and continually improved on • Management of efficient utilization of space and efficient movement and storage of stock in the warehouse • Responsible for executing monthly stock takes and adherence to relevant KPI accuracy targets • Accountable to relevant budget KPI's • Improve warehouse efficiency by improving picking models and structure • Support Supply Chain & QC teams as and when required • Ensure efficient and accurate loading of trucks (customer deliveries and inter warehouse transfers) • Manage customer/supplier relationships and communication (DC's, service providers and transport companies) • Manage all staff IR requirements • Responsible for Heath and Safety, hygiene, and security • Responsible for ISO procedures and training as per ISO co-ordinator requirements • Relevant tertiary qualification • 3 years' experience in a similar role – previous leadership experience essential • Strong Excel skills • Previous WMS experience essential • Excellent numeracy skills • Good communication skills, both verbal and written • Strong leadership qualities and ability to drive continuous improvement • Strong attention to detail • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work after hours when necessary • Own transport Monthly cost to company salary of R25 000
