Performing month-end procedures including necessary reporting to management. Monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with the monitoring of overheads, production variances, stock adjustments and sundry accounts for the respective operations. Working closely with the commercial team in compiling their quarterly sales forecasts and annual budgets. Assist in reviewing controls and procedures around the accounting of bearer plants and biological asset valuations. Assisting management in ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures and Group Policies are adhered to per operation. Attending monthly plant review meetings per division and providing insight where applicable together with ensuring necessary action items are recorded and communicated. Provide assistance with the completion and / or review of budgeted / forecast and NPD costings as well as ensuring that costings are accurately maintained. Collating and preparing financial reports and commentaries. Assistance with the quarterly collation and / or preparation of Board Reports. Cost elimination and reduction projects. Ad-hoc participation in stock takes at various locations. Assistance with internal and external audits. Liaising with Management, Staff and other colleagues regarding finance / budget / forecast related matters. Assistance to finance managers at plant level Honours Degree in Accounting or Financial Management or equivalent. CA(SA) qualifications ranging from newly qualified to 5 years' experience. Relevant experience in the FMCG environment. Knowledge of financial controls and an audit mindset. Excellent communication skills. Computer literate (Advanced Excel). Excellent problem-solving. Analytical and Technical skills. High level of numeracy. Detailed knowledge of SYSPRO or equivalent ERP System. Travelling to plants required
