How you'll role A leading transport manufacturing business is looking for a Draughtsman to join their growing team. You'll need to be able to draught in 2D and 3D, capture and update info on various systems, and create new part number and BOMs. Draughting in 2D and 3D Generate 2D assembly and installation drawings from the BPW KG Data sheets Ensure that all current axles and suspensions can be modelled in 3D Being able to model 3D parts from 2D drawings Convey to the Application Engineer if any models are required from BPW KG to complete models Complete models to customer requirements Ensure that all the drawings completed by the Draughtsman are signed by the Application Engineer before distribution (use of the Vault System) Ensuring correct details are captured on Vault System Updating Syspro with the relevant revision numbers where applicable Drawings need to be filed according to the latest QP 1101 procedures Follow the drawing control procedure as per QP 1101, Section 2.1 Ensure that the Drawing Control Cards are up to date Link assembly / installation drawings to Syspro Create new part numbers in Syspro, use QC 052 Create bill of materials (BOM) for the suspension, axles and complete suspension modules of the standard production range Ensure that no unnecessary suspension, axles and complete suspension modules part numbers are created Use the QC 052 to create the BOM, Application Engineer needs to sign the document before any BOM is created on Syspro Assist the Application Engineer in creating spare parts list Carry out all instructions as given by any superior which are relative to the job function (including assisting with tasks related to production line management/maintenance) Fostering a good and helpful working relationship with all employees Communicating requirements with other team leaders Ensuring that all internal customers are serviced effectively Adhering to BPW policies and procedures Ensuring compliance of the BPW disciplinary and grievance processes and procedures Monthly reports must be submitted as per Departmental Objectives and KPI requirements Endeavour to identify areas where improvements to processes or procedures can be made to benefit BPW (this includes but is not limited to processes around maintenance, suppliers and draught work) Assisting the Application Engineer with technical queries from the Production department Appropriate work experience In-depth knowledge of the BPW and trading products National Diploma in Draughting or N5/N6 certificate would be beneficial Must have successfully completed one or more external Draughting courses AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault would be a benefit Experience with production line maintenance and/or management would be beneficial Salary negotiable based on experience Apply Now
