Breakdown of requirements:
- Vault and Autodesk Inventor Â
- Experience in the design of: Rotating equipment; Crushers; Vibrating equipment; and other dynamic equipment would be advantageous. Alternatively: pressure vessels; Clarifiers / Thickeners; mining equipment; earth moving equipment. Â
- Integral interworking of: Drives, shafts, gears, bearings, plumber blocks, contact rollers. Added experience in sealing systems would be advantageous.Â
- Site experience in measuring equipment & trouble shooting for the purpose of designing fit-for-purpose solutions.  Â
- Strong references are mandatory. Â
ENTRY-LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS:
(A) ACADEMIC Bachelor of Science in EngineeringÂ
(B) VOCATIONAL/TECHNICAL Degree in Drafting, Engineering design or a related discipline
(C) OTHER Three or more years experience.
ESSENTIAL ENTRY-LEVEL KNOWLEDGE:
(A) Technical drawing skills: Should have a good understanding of technical drawing principles, including orthographicÂ
projection, section views, dimensioning, and tolerancing.
(B) Knowledge of drafting software: Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD,Â
SolidWorks, or similar software as this is essential for creating accurate 2D drawings.
(C) Attention to detail: A 2D draftsperson/tracer should have excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in theÂ
drawings they create.
(D) Good Communication skills: Be able to understand design requirements and effectively communicate with otherÂ
members of the design team.
(E) Basic understanding of engineering principles: To aid in interpreting design requirements and creating accurateÂ
technical drawings.
(F) Ability to work under pressure: Should be able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
(G) Problem-solving skills: Ability to solve problems and think critically is important in creating accurate and detailedÂ
technical drawings.
