We are seeking a reliable and responsible Driver to join our team at the new Fluidra Pool Xpert store in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for making daily deliveries to Pool Xpert customers and suppliers, ensuring the timely and accurate transportation of goods while maintaining the integrity of the stock. In addition to driving duties, the driver will also be expected to assist with various tasks within the shop or warehouse as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the team. A bit more detail: Daily Deliveries: Make daily deliveries to Pool Xpert customers and suppliers. Ensure the accurate and damage-free delivery of stock to designated locations. Obtain signatures from customers as proof of delivery. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness. Report any maintenance issues promptly and ensure they are addressed. Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times. Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all transport regulations and road safety guidelines. Maintain a valid driver's license and comply with company policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations regarding the transportation of goods . Personal Presentation and Safety: Maintain a neat and presentable appearance while on duty. Wear the provided personal protective clothing at all times. Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries . Loading and Offloading: Load and offload the vehicle with stock in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure that goods are secured properly during transportation to prevent damage. Assistance with Shop/Warehouse Functions: Assist with shop or warehouse functions when not engaged in delivery duties. Collaborate with other team members to fulfil operational requirements. About you: Minimum 2 – 3 years' experience in a similar position Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. (Code 8) Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a retail or trade environment. Familiarity with local roads and routes in Bloemfontein. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects. Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
