Unique Personnel boasts over 50 years (established in 1970) of personnel and staffing experience, so it's not surprising that even though our main focus has been providing on South African Staffing Solutions, we now recruit internationally for over 5000 clients Job Purpose Long Distance and Short Distance Driving Loading and offloading of Delivery vehicles and Containers Packing and labelling of customer orders when required Checking of Customer transaction against relevant documentation and number of Boxes / pallets Delivery of all customer orders and requests as per company and customer requirements Emergency Deliveries of Kits and Replenishment stock for Orthopaedic Cases Goods Return - Collection of used Orthopaedic kits from Customers Goods Return – Collection of medical products from Customer Collection of products from Suppliers Co-ordination of Daily Documentation, Proof of Deliveries, Invoices, Drivers Delivery Schedule, and relevant Receipts etc Co-ordination of petrol slips and toll slips Maintaining the Driving Log for the vehicles Any defects or discrepancies must be clearly marked on the check list All vehicle keys must be handed over to the Supervisor at the close of business daily Vehicle Inspection must be done against the check list Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and presentable Ensue that the vehicle fuel, water, oil levels and tyre pressures are checked and in Good order Assisting in the warehouse when required Ensure that housekeeping standards are always of a high standard File Administration Assist in Cycle Count / Stock Count when requried Any other duties or functions that are required to meet the objectives of Company Group Delivering the right product to the right customer at the right time with the correct Documentation Ensure that the products received from the warehouse is supported with correct documentation during hand over for delivery Ensure that the Goods Return documentation and instructions are handed over prior to collection Ensure customer service is maintained at high standards Kitroom – Dirty Room Area – accepting the return of used Orthopaedic Kits Washing of used Orthopaedic kits and trays Drying of Orthopaedic kits and trays Handover of washed kits, trays and documentation to the Clean Room Team Ensure that you are professional and presentable Ensure that Company Uniform is used during working hours Ensure that the Health and Safety gear and rules are implemented and followed at all times Ensure that any accidents or incidents is communicated to your Supervisor or Manager Ensure that a written report of the incident is submitted to your Supervisor or Manager The following are key performance areas for the role of Driver Ensuring Customer Service Levels On Time Deliveries to Customers On Time Collections from Suppliers Response Time to Emergency Orthopaedic Case Deliveries Maintain and adhere to the speed limits and rules of the roads Ensure company procedures and policies are adhered to Ensure that you carry out all lawful and reasonable instructions given by your Supervisor or Manager Grade 12 - Matric Minimum of 3 - 5 years Driving Experience Valid Code 10 Driver's Licence Valid PDP Licence Forklift Experience an advantage Experience in driving a 4 Ton and 8 Ton delivery vehicle Short and Long Distance Driving Emergency Deliveries and transactions KNOWLEDGE: Of Customer Service Principles Of Warehouse and Distribution principles and activities Of Routes within Gauteng, outlying area and Mpumalanga Of Drivers Delivery Schedule, Invoices, Proof of Deliveries, Goods Return Packing of Products Good oral and written communication skills. Honesty and integrity. Ability work in Multicultural Environment Ability to interact with people at levels of management Professional and well presented Fluent in English Grade 12 - Matric Minimum of 3 - 5 years Driving Experience Valid Code 10 Driver's Licence Valid PDP Licence
