PURPOSE OF THE ROLE As an E-commerce Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting retail stores with their online orders within our organization. You will be responsible for assisting in the processing of online orders and providing support to both customers and retail stores. Your main objective will be to facilitate the efficient operations of our e-commerce platform while ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders involved. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Order Processing and Fulfilment: Collaborate with retail stores to efficiently pick, pack, and process online orders. Ensure accurate inventory syncs from our ERP system to the e-commerce platform. Work closely with the procurement team to source and upload product images to the online store. Monitor order fulfilment to ensure orders are processed promptly and accurately. 2. Specials Management: Load monthly specials onto the e-commerce platform and update promotions as they occur. Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure that specials and promotions are effectively communicated to customers. Monitor and revise categorization of products to optimize their visibility and placement on the online store. 3. Technical Support: Identify and troubleshoot any technical issues with the e-commerce platform, including but not limited to, website functionality, payment gateways, and integration with third-party systems. Communicate effectively with the development team to resolve technical issues promptly and ensure minimal disruption to the online store. 4. Financial Coordination: Coordinate with the finance team to process online wallet cashouts and refund requests from customers in a timely manner. Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of financial transactions related to online orders. 5. Store Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance of the online store, including user experience and functionality. Keep the online store up to date with current specials, promotions, and product offerings. Analyse customer feedback and suggest improvements to enhance the overall online shopping experience. 6. Customer and Retail Store Support: Provide assistance to customers who encounter difficulties finding products, placing orders, or making payments on the online store. Assist retail stores with any system issues they may encounter while processing orders. Coordinate last-mile delivery to ensure timely and efficient delivery of orders to customers. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Matric certificate or equivalent qualification. Proven experience of at least 2 years in similar positions, with a preference for experience within the FMCG Retail industry. Basic understanding or interest in Google Analytics, Google Merchant Center, and Facebook ads. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or other CRM systems. Experience with payment gateways such as PayGate, Payfast, Ozow, or similar platforms is advantageous.
