Are you an EE Technical Sales Rep with strong Percussion tooling technical ability and experience selling value propositions? Then our client is looking for you An internationally renowned concern in the mineral exploration space is seeking a highly energetic team player to join their sales team. The successful candidate will work very closely with the customer service, supply chain, planning/ logistics teams to drive success and high levels of service in the business within the local (North West) and Africa space. Must be in good physical health, have a drivers licence and be willing and able to travel. Identify and hunt prospective customers Ensure vendor details with customers are maintained Maintain existing customers through a high level of service Grow the business in the allocated area at a sustainable rate With the assistance of the Customer Service team prepare commercial proposals as required Work with customers to provide planners with accurate forecasting Assist with product presentations / Testing where required to build business Maintain healthy relationships with customers at all levels Report on market and competitor activities Present the company in a respectable manner at industry events as and when required Work closely with PLM to ensure correct product availability to serve worthwhile business Provide training and technical assistance to customers and junior staff as required Evaluate consumables currently used and propose alternatives as required Assist with failure investigations / reports on failures as required Keep an accurate database on customers / equipment and consumables used (Maintain Sales Force) Complete and submit tenders on time Manage contracts where applicable Matric A tertiary qualification would be advantageous 4 - 5 years experience in a similar role Must have strong knowledge of Production/Percussion tooling Valid Driver's License Good understanding of the mining industry, drilling equipment and consumables specifically Experience in the African mining environment will be an advantage Must be in good physical condition to pass required medical Must be able and willing to do long distance traveling and travel into Africa Able to self-manage Must be a “Hunter”, able to chase after new opportunities to completion Must have ability to communicate through all levels up to management with customers Must have a very high “Say do Ratio” Very Strong focus on customer service Must be a problem solver that can get things done in an ethical manner R35 000 – R40 000 Comm Car, MA, Pension (depending on qualification and experience)
