Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12
A formal qualification BEng / BSc in Electrical Engineering.
Registered PR Eng with ECSA will be an advantage.
Post-graduation training and qualification in industrial automation.
GCC Factories Electrical big advantage.
Minimum 10 years post qualification experience in industry.
Experience and knowledge of boiler plants will be ideal.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design, construction, testing and commissioning of industrial automation in particular to combustion and steam generation utility plant.
Oversee panel manufacturing, site installation and commissioning including the controls and automation as well as the electrical installation.
Conduct design and programming.
Industrial process automation.
Electrical and cabling design.
Panel design and layouts.
PLC and HMI programming.
IOT and online trending of data.
Industrial earthing systems, electrical reticulation, switchgear, transformers.
Siemens PLC, Delta PLC, Allen Bradley PLC programming.
Siemens HMI, Delta HMI, Allen Bradley HMI programming.
Selection of and parameter setting of variable speed drives.
Job costing and project management.
Pressure vessel and pressure piping design and drawings [ASME, EN]
Pressure equipment signoff as per SANS347.
3D stress isometrics [steam piping]
Utility plant layouts, design calculations.
Steam and condensate system design.
Chimney stack and ducting design.
Energy auditing.
Energy and mass balance calculations.
Flow and pressure drop calculations.
Equipment design conveyers, hoppers, tanks [API650]
Process design and P&ID.
