Electrical E-Plan P8 Draughtsman My client is an industry leader in the manufacture & supply of end-of-line packaging equipment with an established global footprint. They currently have a position available for a Electrical E-Plan P8 Draughtsman at their factory in Cape Town, South Africa. Duties & Responsibilities The following constitutes the duties & responsibilities of the role Creating detailed electrical schematics Compiling wiring diagrams & layout drawings for MCC panels using E-Plan8 Adhere to HSE requirements as dictated by law & company policies Contribute to building & maintaining of a continuous improvement environment & ongoing functional activities Understanding of electrical wiring principles & methodologies specific to your field Clear & effective communication skills for articulating electrical design needs & explaining technical details Flexibility to adapt to new challenges, changes in project scope & unexpected obstacles Ability to meticulously ensure that every aspect of the drawing meets required standards & specifications Occasionally required to work overtime on short notice Desired Experience & Qualifications The applicant MUST HAVE the following experience & qualifications MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 Years relevant experience using E-Plan Software. Proficient with Microsoft Excel. Experience in designing low voltage (less than 1000v, 1PH & 3PH) industrial control panels. Sound knowledge of electrical switchgear, Programmable Logic Control Systems (PLCs) and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) Good time management High level of motivation Attention to detail Work well under pressure & set timelines Good written, verbal and digital communication skills Valid Unendorsed South African drivers license Own reliable transport Reside within the greater Cape Town metropole area Please note that traceable references are required and will be verified Salary & company benefits The Client is offering a market related salary that will be based on your qualifications & relevant industry experience.
