Description Our client is searching for an Electrical Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. Main Functions will include but are not limited to: Being an integral part of any future planning, new technology and processes on site. Recommending methods that will improve the end project Compiling and submitting reports that will improve the end project Justifying the purchase of the best equipment for each project Determining the life span of electrical equipment and plans for replacement Improving the manufacturing capabilities of the factory as economically as possible. Understanding the design basis of the equipment. Following test procedures. Optimising energy consumption and sources of pollution. Analysing all electrical stoppages and sources of pollution. Looking at history and statistics. Making recommendations. Attending to Plant breakdowns. Assisting with mechanical maintenance if and where needed. Minimum qualifications and experience: B.Sc. Electrical Engineering N6 and Government Certificate of Competency or T4 and Government Certificate of Competency 5 years experience related to Electrical and Project Engineering (specifically related to factories) Recommended skills, knowledge and qualifications: Technologically minded. Good planning/managerial skills. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to lead and supervise engineering team.
