The appointed Technician will be responsible for the maintaining, implementing and controlling of manufacturing plant electrical systems. Criteria: Certified technician holding a minimum of a T3 National Technicians Certificate Formal electrical training by way of either an apprenticeship or a minimum of 5 years practical training Preferably have a Wireman’s License Have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar position Experience in programming and troubleshooting industrial PLC’s and controllers Experience in LT maintenance covering switchgear and production equipment Own vehicle essential Skills and duties: Maintaining production equipment Programming and fault finding on PLC’s Setting up a library of plant drawings, equipment manuals and software programs Setting up and controlling an electrical spares store Responsible for the electrical condition of a 24-hour production facility Must be prepared to be on after hours call out Strong attention to detail Monthly
