MARULA PLATINUM LIMITED INTERNAL/EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT ELECTRICIAN DATE OF DISTRIBUTION 05.01.2024 CLOSING DATE 14.01.2024 PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To safely install, maintain and repair electrical systems, equipment and machinery. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Grade 12/ STD 10/ NQF Level 4 is essential. A recognised Electrical Trade qualification (Section 13 or 26D) is essential. OR Proof of recognised completed apprenticeship contract (completed by means of effluxion of time) AND NTC 2 (Recognised Trade Theory) qualification is essential. Minimum of 3 years working experience on Underground Conveyor Installation, dewatering pumping system, rock breaker machines, chairlifts and Compressor is essential. Maintenance and repairs of overhead cranes Valid Code 8 drivers licence (essential and be able to attend to callouts) A Valid Red Ticket or medical fitness in order to obtain such a certificate. COMPETENCIES: Legal knowledge of Health and Safety Act DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: The successful candidate is responsible to: General electrical maintenance and proper running of conveyor belt systems, chairlifts, pumping system, winches, ventilation fans, surface and underground electrical reticulation. Perform routine maintenance on underground and surface machinery and equipment. Identify new opportunities to improve overall equipment availability and reliability of the section. Enforce compliance with the MHS Act and regulations on this section. Ensure that subordinates adhere to all company standards, safe work procedures and compliance with safety.
