The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing the electrical and instrumentation systems and components at Binduli Processing Plant and its surrounding work sites in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and health and safety regulations. Key Duties / Tasks: Comply with all Company Policies, Procedures, and Values. Undertaking preventative maintenance inspections, equipment repairs and associated component change outs. Diagnosis of faults and plant / equipment breakdowns. Regular inspections of tooling, equipment, work areas, and plant to identify hazards, operational compliance, damage and defects. Carry out time and material estimations for planned tasks, enter associated parts orders. Report any hazards, accidents or injuries immediately to your direct Supervisor. Assist new employees and Contractors in the application of Company Policies and Procedures. Work in a manner that will not endanger yourself or any other person. Ensure maintenance activities are carried out to a high standard and in accordance with statutory requirements. Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as provided and report any defective or damaged PPE. Comply with any lawful instructions given by a Supervisor or person of authority and respect all Company property. Do not engage in any duties that require a certificate or written authorisation unless the relevant certificate or permit is held. Do not attempt any task unless you are trained, capable and competent, or under training supervision to safely perform the task. Contribute, promote, and be receptive to ideas from the team for continuous improvement. Provide training, supervision and support to Apprentices, where required. Maintain required licenced trade knowledge to ensure continued compliant and safe electrical work practices. The ability to be on call for breakdowns Any other duties as required. Qualifications : Relevant trade qualification Certificate IV Instrumentation (desirable) Current unencumbered C Class Western Australian Drivers Licence (HR desirable) High Voltage Switching certification (desirable) Senior First Aid (desirable) High Risk Work Licence Certifications: Forklift (desirable) Elevated Work Platform (desirable) Non-slewing crane (desirable) Skills and Experience: WORK KNOWLEDGE: Minimum of 2 years mine site fixed plant electrical experience Minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship electrical work experience Previous experience working with PLCs Previous experience on HV and LV VSDs Instrumentation experience (desirable) High Voltage Switching (desirable) COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Mature team player with good communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using the 2 way radio. Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Able to speak, read and write legible English at an Australian Secondary School standard. COMPUTER SKILLS: Previous Pronto (or similar) experience (desirable) Basic skills Microsoft Office Suite (desirable) Physical Task Capabilities Climb stairs and ladders. Lift minimum 15kg above shoulder height. Lift 20kg from floor to waist height. Able to access confined spaces as required. Manoeuvre around machinery and machinery compartments. Stand for long periods (including on un-even surfaces and in awkward positions). Reasonable agility and strength. Flexible and good core strength. Some confined space work Some working at height Ability to work in variable climatic conditions- (Hot and cold weather)
