The above position has become vacant at our site situated in Balfour Mpumalanga. In the Electrical Engineering Department The successful candidate must be a motivated individual and must be in possession of the following listed below: Functions and duties (Included but are not limited to): Ensuring preventative scheduled maintenance is carried out as scheduled according to company procedures and standards. Responsible for performing skilled work in the installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and commissioning of electrical and electronic equipment. Responsible for the maintenance of the boilers. Responsible for checking all safety alarm systems. Responsible for allocated refrigeration plants and general maintenance thereof. Housekeeping of all Sub-Stations. Responsible for standards i.e. all wiring, earthing to be done in accordance with SABS 0142. Responsible for the electricity and water meter readings. Daily reporting – time sheets, job cards, overtime etc. Pre-Production start-up and shutdowns of equipment daily. Complying with occupational health and safety requirements. Reporting daily to the foreman. Ad Hoc Tasks. Requirements: Minimum Requirements N4 (Grade 12) qualification. Be in possession of a trade certificate as an Electrician. Have at least 3 to 5 years' experience as an Artisan. An ability to cope under pressure. Must be able to work weekends and public holidays when required. Must be prepared to do standby. Must be in possession of a valid driver's license. A wireman's licence will be an advantage. Good communication skills. Core Competencies: Hardworking and reliable. Good self-management.
