Roles and responsibilities:Â

• South African Electrical Standards: Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of South African electrical standards and regulations. This includes familiarity with the South African National Standards (SANS) and the wiring code (SANS 10142) applicable to electrical installations.
• Â Electrical Equipment Expertise: Proficiency in working with electrical equipment commonly found in crushing plants, such as motors, control panels, switchgear, conveyor systems, crushers and delta star terminations would be an advantage. Understanding the specific electrical requirements and safety considerations for these types of equipment is essential and assisting with improvements as required.
• Wiring and Installation Skills: Competence in wiring and installing electrical systems and equipment according to the relevant South African electrical standards. This includes knowledge of proper cable sizing, cable termination techniques, grounding principles, and the ability to follow electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair electrical faults and failures in crushing plant equipment. This involves the ability to use electrical testing equipment, interpret diagnostic codes, analyse electrical systems, and identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
