Currently seeking a Workshop Technician for a leading automotive tracking company based in Hillcrest. Duties include manufacturing, servicing, testing, and assembling electronic equipment Your primary duties are to assemble electronic parts, such as circuit board, by assembling parts and sub- assemblies Ensure the proper soldering is carried out Read and deciphers schematics and assembly instructions Knowledge of various testing equipment Uses hand tools to assemble parts Conducts quality checks Trouble shoot failures Key Performance Areas of the position are listed below : Abide to all workshop “housekeeping” rules including safety and security of tools, equipment and production stock in the workshop, Repair/Analysis of field returns as per COP, Final assembly of products according to COP, Carrying out any engineering change requests as per COP, Be responsible for all company equipment and stock under your control. GENERAL Excellent attention to detail and impeccable time management, Attend training courses for product knowledge as required by the company utilizing the online training platform, Show a courteous manner at all times to both customers and other company employees in the Autotrak group, Be willing to undertake various tasks or projects given to you by the company, Always be correctly dressed in accordance to company dress code policy, Ensure that all jobs issued to you are carried out in a professional and courteous manner and that upon completion of the job all documentation is accurately completed and filed in a presentable and accessible condition, Promote relationships with all of the company's customers and suppliers that reflect trust and credibility. Minimum Grade 12 / Matric Must be proficient with soldering skills Experience with MS Office – Word, Excel & Outlook R12 000 – R15 000, depending on experience .
