Electronics Engineer - Pilot Hall

Applications are invited from suitably qualified & experienced candidates to fill the Pilot Hall Engineer in Production.

As part of the Pilot Hall team, the incumbent will be responsible to manage the vehicle electronic control unit’s version within production using systems to ensure all vehicles are released to customers with valid versions. A Pilot Hall Engineer has to ensure that a vehicle is delivered that consistently adheres to the required KONZERN Quality levels and meets the customer’s expectations throughout the life cycle of the product. Special tasks entail championing the introduction of new models and model year changes through VFF Build. The Engineer has to clearly define and coordinate corrective action implementation.

Duties

  • Establishing root causes and implementing corrective actions for allocated problems.
  • Resolve invalid electronic control unit versions (i.e. part number, software level, hardware level and data containers) using various systems and internal IT tools.
  • Evaluate and test new version releases on the production line for both series and pre series vehicles.
  • Implement and manage the configuration of vehicle projects within the group system.
  • Coordination of a cross departmental team within the company focusing on the evaluation and resolution of vehicle electronic version topics.
  • Liaising with overseas counterparts with regards to version management topics.
  • Forecast potential version risk or flash action (i.e. software updates) by interpreting data sources from multiple systems using advance workbooks/IT tools (e.g. Macro’s/VBA

Qualification and Experience

National Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering (excluding heavy current) or Information Technology/Computer Science or Bachelor in Mechatronics

Minimum of 2 year experience in object-oriented programming (e.g. Python, C#, C++, VB)

Ability to apply problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve root cause problems.

Ability and willingness to contribute innovative solutions and ideas.

Capable of effectively and efficiently communicating topics to target audience (including management) by compiling and presenting presentations/analysis.

Able to work well under pressure and make sound decisions.

Computer literate in MS Office (i.e. Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)

Experience with Macro/VBA in Excel

Have sound organization and Project Management skills

Have the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary team with other Engineers
