Our client based in Randburg ,Gauteng requires An Elevator /Lift Technician to be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation equipment. You would need to ensure that the equipment is in safe and working order, adhering to strict regulations and guidelines. Install new elevators and escalators, including electrical work, wiring, and programming of control systems Maintain and repair elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, and other vertical transportation equipment Perform routine maintenance, such as oiling and cleaning mechanical parts, and inspecting safety devices Respond to emergency calls and make repairs quickly and efficiently Update and maintain records of repairs and maintenance performed Conduct safety audits and ensure that all equipment meets safety standards and regulations Stay current with advancements in elevator technology and industry regulations High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training program in elevator installation, maintenance, or repair State certification and licensing as an elevator technician Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others Grade 12 Trade Tested as a Lift Technician / Lift Mechanic Diploma/Degree qualification in Mechanical/Electrical and or mechanical training an advantage Electrical Skills Mechanical Skills Knowledge of Hydraulics Driver's License Min of 3 years and more or more working experience as above Highly negotiable/open to offers to be discussed during interview.
