Responsibilities: - Handle all blue-collar recruitment (end to end) including apprentice and student trainees.
- Act as a first point of contact for all employee queries at the workshop level.
- Provide support and guidance on employee benefits issues e.g. medical aid, pension etc.
- Handle minor disciplinary matters at the workshop.
- Apply the disciplinary code and provide IR support to supervisors and foreman at the workshop.
- Provide support on disciplinary and grievance procedures at the shopfloor.
- Submit the employment equity report to the department of labour.
- Participate in the employment equity committee function as a member.
- Record the minutes during the EE committee meetings.
- Provide support during compliance audit performed by statutory bodies such as the department of labour and the MEIBC.
Qualification and Experience:- National Diploma in HR or equivalent.
- 3-5 years Industry experience (2 years recruitment experience and at least 1-year general HR administration)
- Understanding of payroll processes
- Previous experience with MEIBC and Main agreement.
- Ability to work with trade unions.
- Working knowledge of BCEA, LRA Skills Development Act.
