Our client in the renewable energy space is seeking a highly skilled Electrical/Energy/Renewable Energy Solutions Engineer to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in identifying, implementing, and maintaining energy efficiency savings and on-site generation projects. This position requires ensuring that projects are executed cost-effectively, safely, and in compliance with regulations and specifications outlined in the Service Level Agreement. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer will conduct energy audits and contribute to business development efforts aimed at securing Energy Service Company (ESCO) contracts. Key Responsibilities: Conduct energy audits to assess energy usage and identify opportunities for improvement. Plan, implement, and manage energy efficiency projects, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness. Oversee on-site solar distribution and small-scale embedded generation projects. Lead solar PV projects from design to financial analysis, including ROI, IRR, cash flow, lifecycle costs, and maintenance. Manage all aspects of project execution, including coordination, scheduling, and budget adherence. Desired Skills: Proficiency in energy auditing techniques. Experience in planning, implementing, and managing energy efficiency projects. Expertise in on-site solar distribution and small-scale embedded generation. Strong understanding of solar PV systems, including design and financial analysis. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Experience: 10-15 years of relevant experience in energy efficiency and solar PV projects. Demonstrated expertise in energy financial calculations and turnkey solar PV projects. Education and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Professional Engineer certification from ECSA or candidate status. Completion of Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) course preferred. PV Green Card certification. Requirements Proficiency in Outlook, Email, Shared Drive, Google Chrome, Excel, and Word. Valid driver's license and driving experience preferred. Location: Based in Johannesburg. Strong attention to detail with meticulous recording and filing skills. Self-driven and highly motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and skill improvement.
