We are excited to announce an opening for a Resident Engineer / Project Manager position at our Bloemfontein office. We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our dynamic team. If you meet the qualifications and experience requirements we encourage you to apply. 1. Observe the execution of the Works Observe the order of procedure and method in which the Works are carried out in relation to the Program and report any deviations. Issue site instructions as necessary or appropriate to ensure that the Works are executed and performed in accordance with the Contract. Record facts and circumstances relating to any injury to persons or damage to property on the Site. Record facts and circumstances relating to any accident or incident on the Site which could affect the execution or due completion of the Works. Record facts and circumstances relating to any event which might give rise to a claim for additional compensation or extension of time. Maintain record of drawings issued. Maintain a rainfall record. Compile as-built drawings. 2. Examine and test materials and workmanship Observe the setting out of the Works by the Contractor and report any deviation. Observe all materials and workmanship for compliance with the relevant specification and report any deviation. Examine all work before covering up. Observe acceptance testing by Contractor and report any non-compliance. Observe acceptance testing by independent agencies and report any non-compliance. 3. Measurement of quantities Verify the Contractor's measurement of the work executed and materials on site for the purpose of monthly payment certificates. Determine and ascertain final quantities and valuation of the Works for the purpose of the Final Payment Certificate. Observe any dayworks and record particulars of plant, material and labour for verification of Contractor's Statements. 4. Project Management. National Diploma / B Tech in CIVIL Engineering More than 2 years experience in the field. Experience with the following: Project Administration & Management, Roads, Stormwater, Structures, Water & sewer, Bulk water, Water purification, Bridges, Infrastructures. We offer lucrative Company remuneration. This position is a limited contract duration position.
