Introduction Wits Health Consortium (Pty) Limited ("WHC") is a wholly-owned Company of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (South Africa) under its Faculty of Health Sciences. WHC provides Faculty with a legal framework within which to operate the research and other activities necessary to support its academic objectives. In addition, WHC offers a range of products and services to the Academics conducting these activities to assist with the management thereof. Description Main purpose of the job: To recruit eligible and willing participants for the study Location: Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Soweto - Johannesburg Key performance areas: Build trust between the community and the study Recruit eligible participants Train participants in terms of the study and anticipated outcomes Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly recruitment reports Conduct follow-up visits or telephone calls Understand the clinic environment and adapt to changes Build and maintain relationships with the clinic staff Perform field work activities as required Required minimum education and training: Certificate in Enrolled Nursing Required minimum work experience: 1 year experience working at clinics around Soweto Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities: Able to work in a complex and demanding environment Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience working in clinical trials Good communication skills (both written and verbal) Established links with key stakeholders in a high-risk population Must possess strong organizational skills Must be detail-oriented Must be able to work in a team and independently It is expected that he/she will apply consistent adherence to research and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) practices TO APPLY: Only if you do meet the minimum job requirements and experience as mentioned above, you may submit a detailed updated CV.
