Entomologist / IPM Manager - Hoedspruit
Title: IPM Manager
Reporting to: Farming Business Manager
Area: Limpopo
Key Responsibilities:
- 2 years+ experience in similar role
- Controlling and reporting on the IPM of the group’s farms
- Assessing, evaluating and managing IPM, using a combination of biological, cultural, physical, mechanical and chemical management
- Management and controlling of scouting
- Pest identification
- Assistant to the Production Manager with regards to the export quality and export market compliance audits annually or as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc Agricultural degree in Entomology / BSc Environmental & Biological Sciences
- Strong knowledge and theory of IPM & Chemicals
- Practical experience in fertilizing and spraying management
- MRL Requirements
- Citrus and Mango experience will be advantageous
- Strong understanding of quality management assurance and export compliance
- Good interpersonal skills between farm management and packhouse
