VACANCY NOTIFICATION Position : Mobile Equipment Operator (TLB) Location : Tshipi é Ntle Manganese Mining, Kathu, Northern Cape VACANCY STATUS PUBLISHED DATE 17 July 2024 CLOSING DATE 26 July 2024 LOCATION Tshipi Borwa Manganese Mine, Mamatwan, Northern Cape POSITION DESCRPTION Mobile Equipment Operator (TLB) PATTERSON GRADING B LOWER DIRECT REPORTS Plant Supervisor PURPOSE OF THE JOB Operates mobile equipment to ensure optimum achievement of mine production targets, business objectives and customer requirements. Ensures that all equipment is maintained in safe and effective working order. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS The role is responsible for: Financial Perspective: Financial effectiveness Considers costs and suggests cost-saving ideas. • Escalates risks to supervisor. • Follows plant standard operating procedures to prevent losses and damage. • I nternal Business Process Perspective: • Operates and maintains mobile equipment. • Operates and maintains mobile equipment safely and effectively to ensure that mine production targets are met. • Adheres to mine policies and procedures and follows supervisor instructions. • Escalates issues and problems where necessary to ensure: Employee/ contractor safety. • Prevention of loss or damage to equipment and machinery. • Operates mobile equipment and machinery safely and responsibly according to standard operating procedures. People Perspective: Personal Development • Manages own performance in terms of agreed outputs. • Identifying performance and training gaps and discussing ways of cross-skilling and upskilling. • Works to master skills within own role to ensure personal development and performance. • Contributes to team • Contributes to the attainment of goals by showing teamwork. • Values and respects team members and others within the organization. • Demonstrates inclusivity and values diversity. • Share knowledge and best practices that will benefit the team. • Customer Perspective: Manages relationships • Ensures that the needs of organizational stakeholders are prioritized and managed including: • Colleagues and employees. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED • Grade 12 • Valid driver's license • TLB license • Relevant TLB experience will be an added advantage MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED • 3 years experience operating and maintaining mobile equipment. • Constantly works towards continued improvement. • Communication skills. • Good team-worker. • Ability to work independently.
