We are seeking a proposals estimator to analyse a variety of proposals and requirements to prepare cost estimates for our respective clients. The individual should be able to determine the value of a materials, historic item, and products. The proposals estimator should be able to provide an appraisal for a client faced with an important purchase or sale decision. Accurate and timeously quotes to customers, including revalidations. Quotation lead time must be in line with department KPI's Take ownership of open RFQ's and follow up on outstanding information with all relevant stakeholders, ensuring seamless RFQ to quote execution Accurate completion of all tenders, ensuring on time submission according to customer requirements Accurate CM% as per the CM% matrix – Quotes to be signed off as per the DOA matrix To achieve highest possible margin and profitability where possible Keeping CRM system up to date with the latest information. All relevant documents including quotations to be attached on CRM. All opportunities quoted to be logged on CRM Processing of customer PO's on SAP, ensuring correct and accurate processing of the order with all the relevant requirements and details on SAP Checking of all jobs required to go to contracts review against the contracts review checklist and issuing the IWO's prior to the contracts review deadline together with the signed off checklist Performing all the relevant checks and balances required to ensure accurate processing of orders. Order processing lead time must be in line with department KPI's All opportunities to be kept up to date on the “Assessment and Enquiry Database” To assist in meeting sales objectives Looking after SalesSA on a rotation basis To follow-up on outstanding open opportunities based on validity when required To support the sales team in the field To attend monthly proposals meetings Ensure that all requirements in terms of compliance as stipulated by group are executed and adhered to Adherence to all company policies and procedures both from a local and group perspective To assist any other function of the business from time to time Any other reasonable instruction from your manager Ensuring quotations, orders processing and other tasks are completed according to the relevant DBS procedure • Grade 12/Matric certificate is essential • Any technical related certificate/diploma/degree is advantageous • Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical sales environment with proven experience in proposals is essential • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, SAP and CRM systems • Experience in the gear box industry is advantageous • Good understanding of margins • High level of ownership and respect • Self-motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills • Customer service driven • Ability to work under immense pressure Apply Now
