Reference: CT004327-OK-1 Freight Forwarding Client on the East Rand in need of an Estimator, providing support by compiling estimates on all modes of transport for management, and operational staff. Job Function: - Request and maintain a database of all relevant negotiated rates. - Reviews information received for correctness to enable accurate estimates to be completed. - Ensure all quotes are in writing and filed appropriately. - Compiles estimates on all modes of transport. - Provides accurate estimates and charges in accordance with agreed rates. - Acknowledge requests to clients within 1 hour of receiving. - Provides assistance to the sales team with RFQs and completion of Tenders. - Consult with the Department Manager for approval prior to submitting estimates to clients. - Follows up with clients regarding cost estimates and services as required. - Refers all leads to the Sales Director for action by the sales team. - Actively participate in sales discussions when required. - Contacts clients when the need arises and handles remote interactions with customers. - Compiles reports, statistics and general administration as required.
