Leading tourist destination organization is seeking an outgoing, motivated individual to fill their venue calendar and sell their exquisite event space to corporates.
Working with the current Events Manager who manages/co-ordinates events banqueting, your primary tasks will involve connecting with potential clients and negotiating their contracts. You will also complete paperwork for the booking that outlines their needs as well as the staffing needs, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable with vendor management and event planning.

Duties and Responsibilities
Manage (and fill) the events calendar.
Create, grow, manage database of clients.
Determine sales goals.
Build and maintain customer relationships.
Collaborate with the chef on menu requests.
Negotiate contracts and assist with accounts receivable.
Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials.
Develop promotions or specialty packages to entice new customers.
Criteria:
Relevant qualification in hospitality, marketing, or a related field
5 years sales experience within the hospitality sector
Strong 3 5 years event planning experience
Strong IT skills
Code 08 & own transport
Must reside in or within a reasonable travelling distance to the stunning offices based in Noordhoek
Strong organizational and communication skills
