Executive Housekeeper - South Africa

Note: this position is that of a duty manager level, only focused on the housekeeping department.

Candidate requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 2 -3 years of Housekeeping Management experience in a 5-star boutique operation or Big 5 reserve
  • Must have working experience in Budgets & Stock Control
  • Room Division or Front of House Experience - a plus
  • Hospitality and Service training experience - a plus
  • Must have Excellent literacy skills (writing of emails, viewing web pages)
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Own transport and a drivers license are essential
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills (listening skills, verbal communication, etc)
  • Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated and confident
  • Must have a sense of humor and of adventure
  • Have strong people skills
  • Have a strong guest focus to ensure guest expectations are exceeded
  • Have Flexibility adapt successfully to changing situations and environments
  • Must have high attention to detail

  • Live-in position with meals on duty
