EXECUTIVE MANAGER - Johannesburg Our Transport and Warehousing client, a well-established fast-growing group of companies, with an equal opportunity policy, has the following vacancy in JohannesburgEXECUTIVE MANAGER: TECHNICALJOHANNESBURGQUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:- Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience.- Outstanding organizational skills.- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills.- Excellent communication skills.- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.- Sound Knowledge of the road traffic act.- In depth knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles.- In dept knowledge of practices and procedures involved in researching, comparing and purchasing vehicles, equipment and supplies.- Strong analytical skills.- The ability to identify competitive risk in the market and to realign strategy accordingly.- Ability to think logically and analyse problems.- Exposure in the transport and logistics field with a wide networking capability.- Pro-active identification of possible problems related to successful utilization of company.- Ability to execute diagnostic procedures for vehicles.- In depth knowledge of operation, theory and principles of petrol and diesel - powered engines.- Budget preparation and control.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Plan, direct and co-ordinate the operation of vehicle maintenance and repair programs for company owned vehicles.- Review purchase requests for new and replacement vehicles.- Plan and administer a preventative maintenance and vehicle repair program for company owned vehicles and equipment nationally.- Receive and process vehicle accident and damage reports.- Prepare cost analysis, periodic management and operational reports.- Plan, organize and direct functions and activities related to the procurement, servicing, operation, maintenance and repair of company vehicles, establish and maintain priorities and time lines, assure vehicle-related functions and activities comply with established laws, codes, rules, regulations and procedures.- Co-ordinate and direct personnel nationally, resources and communications to meet Company vehicle needs and assure smooth and efficient activities.
