Perform preventative maintenance and repairs Generate service repair sales for the Workshops On-site problem solving Grow field service work, including procuring active new service contracts. Calling on existing and new customers and maintaining relationships and growing the business with these customers. On site customer support with technical problems. Install, service and repair air compressors, vacuum pumps, and systems on site. Supporting the Sales Manager to grow the business. Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning products, determine possible causes for malfunctions and perform repairs. Test and document the proper operating parameters prior to and following preventative maintenance and repairs. Recordkeeping and daily completion of documentation in line with daily duties performed. Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done correctly and to establish/ maintain communication with all people/ employees considered necessary to get the job done. Perform additional assignments as required. Extensive travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel. Available for a rotation schedule during evenings, weekends, and holidays call work. Must be able to lift to 25kg on a regular basis and lift to 45kg occasionally. Must be able to work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling. Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism and complete work within assigned deadlines. ​​​​​​​ Qualified Millwright or Electrical Trade. Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years' field service experience of service and repairs of air compressors, vacuum pumps, air dryers and market related items. Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components. Computer literate - computer proficiency as required for communication, research, parts manuals, work orders and programming various controllers. Must proficiently communicate with customers and suppliers, verbally and via email daily in English and Afrikaans. Valid code 8 driver's licence. Own reliable motor vehicle. Strong problem-solving skills and communication skills. Be able to fulfil customer support function.
