Experienced Service Manager - Johannesburg

Duties include
  • Ensure high-quality service and timely vehicle repairs.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Train and motivate technicians and apprentices.
  • Oversee safe and clean workshop operations.
  • Set and monitor service performance and sales targets.
  • Manage expenses, reduce job stoppages, and minimize repeat repairs.
  • Support frontline staff and handle customer repair explanations.
  • Allocate repair orders and assist with diagnoses.
  • Conduct quality control inspections.
  • Review service invoices, warranty cases, and customer satisfaction reports.
  • Develop marketing strategies and cultivate business relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with franchisor and dealer guidelines.
  • Lead technician meetings, address safety issues, and mentor trainees.
  • Handle staff management tasks and submit incentive claims.
  • Attend departmental meetings for effective communication.
  • Provide feedback to frontline staff on individual customer vehicle parts during WIP meetings and discuss performance against targets in departmental meetings
Requirements:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Qualified Red Seal Mechanic
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge
  • Excellent management style
  • Workshop Manager experience at a Motor Vehicle Dealership with a stable work track record
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Strong financial and budgeting skills
  • Passion for excellence
