Manage all area specific export accounts, and generate profit through the effective selling and
marketing of the range and other related product to Africa and the world.
Summary of essential job functions
Quoting area specific export accounts
Quoting all customers in appointed markets
Reconciliation of area account debtors
Back up / support of Export Controller when required.
Back up / support of Export Traders when required.
Booking of orders into SYSPRO & Export Procedure
Credit cover application.
Marketing and selling of full product range.
Reporting to Export Management:
- Country & customer visits / Trip reports
- Risk and cost analysis reports.
- Market specific SWOT
- Expense reports
- Monthly sales reports
- Sales budgeting
- Account / territory / category planning.
- Expense budgeting
- Strategic planning reports & implementation
- Proposal generation
Ensure profitability of export department
Customer service and relations
Establish and grow markets.
Export file maintenance.
Customer file maintenance
Communicate customer requirements to export / stores and manufacturing departments.
Sale presentations
Minimum requirements
Sound knowledge of export procedure
Sound knowledge of country specific requirements (inspection, fumigation, routing, GSP, etc)
Sound knowledge of Export Documentation Software
Sound knowledge of SYSPRO
Sound product knowledge.
Sound knowledge of sales technique
Abilities required.
Full working knowledge of export department procedures, from inquiry to payment completion.
Sound knowledge of export payment procedures (TT, Letter of Credit, Etc)
Sound knowledge of company policy
Sound knowledge of entire export customer base & customer specific requirements
Sound knowledge of area specific export customer base & customer specific requirements
Negotiation skills
