Take fully detailed bookings and advise clients of details pertinent to their bookings. Capture bookings into computer same day , in order that the client may submit their Container Release requirements to the National Container Dept in Durban. Attend booking transfers / amendments / cancellations with appropriate e-mail follow-up to customer and relevant Trade Manager, where applicable. Advise clients of latest schedule information. Action Operational queries on Vessels timeously and comprehensively. Ensure that MSC Carrier Haulage departments are notified of all amendments to any Carrier Haulage bookings once that vessel stacks are open. Submit Late Arrivals and late additional bookings to MSC Operations Department. Advise shippers of any short shipments and take the necessary action by reducing bookings and where Advance manifesting is involved, ensure that the appropriate EMCs are actioned. Quote freight rates and full spectrum of Landside Charges. Filing rates Advise clients timeously of transshipments details if required. Arrange for certificates for the vessels – to comply with LC requirements, as required by the clients – to be checked by channel controller. Assisting where necessary by following and ensuring that “Abandoned Cargo” procedures and monitoring thereof is actioned. Compile ‘'Booking Evaluation'' forms, from details supplied by clients, for destination Countries governed by Sanction Compliance Procedures and perform required cross checks on Sanctions Link. Ensuring that Email “Inbox” is updated and clear and that timeous response is sent on all incoming mail. Manifest Corrector Instructions must be carried out timeously and accurately. Where asked to do so, assist with Account / Demurrage queries timeously. Perform canvassing in conjunction with Export Sales Team. Joining the export sales developments managers on client visits Attend to Navis queries. Ensuring that all amendments made on Hazardous Shipments are communicated to the Hazardous Data Capture Clerk Grade 12 3 years of Shipping Experience 3 years of client services experience in similar environment Skills Good verbal and written skills Display a high level of attention to detail. Good customer orientation Planning and Organisation skills
