The Sales Department is looking for a motivated, driven and customer focused External Sales Rep to join their team. STEEL SALES EXP IS ESSENTIAL COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS A minimum of Grade 12/Matric. Ms Office packages literacy and proficient on Syspro/Pivotal. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills. Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills. Tertiary certificate /diploma /degree in sales and marketing will be an advantage. Candidate must have proven track record in sales. At least 3 years' experience consulting with customers in sales environment Must possess a valid driver's license (essential). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Plan and execute sales activities in line with KPA's and sales objectives. Handling telephonic enquires and quoting. Plan and manage personal business portfolio that contributes to the Company's brand image and vision. Respond to and follow up sales enquires in order to secure sales. Identify and utilize opportunities for up-selling including communicating latest product development. Monitor and report on market competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information. Send and submit quotations using correct pricing and according to company policy. Set up sales appointments. Proactively looking for new business –old and new customers, convert dormant customer to active customers. Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within the client base. Overcome objections of prospective customers. Emphasize product features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and /or reports. Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth. Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold-calling. Ensure follow-up by passing leads to the Operations Director with calls to action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc. Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner. Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner.
