my client is a Premier Stainless & Aluminium Supplier in SA Leading South African supplier of affordable, top-notch stainless steel and aluminium products. The Sales Department is looking for a motivated, driven and customer focused External Sales Rep to join their team. STEEL SALES EXP IS ESSENTIAL COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS  A minimum of Grade 12/Matric.  Ms Office packages literacy and proficient on Syspro/Pivotal.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.  Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.  Tertiary certificate /diploma /degree in sales and marketing will be an advantage.  Candidate must have proven track record in sales.  At least 3 years' experience consulting with customers in sales environment  Must possess a valid driver's license (essential). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:  Plan and execute sales activities in line with KPA's and sales objectives.  Handling telephonic enquires and quoting.  Plan and manage personal business portfolio that contributes to the Company's brand image and vision.  Respond to and follow up sales enquires in order to secure sales.  Identify and utilize opportunities for up-selling including communicating latest product development.  Monitor and report on market competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.  Send and submit quotations using correct pricing and according to company policy.  Set up sales appointments.  Proactively looking for new business –old and new customers, convert dormant customer to active customers.  Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within the client base.  Overcome objections of prospective customers.  Emphasize product features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and /or reports.  Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.  Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold-calling.  Ensure follow-up by passing leads to the Operations Director with calls to action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.  Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.  Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner.
