Job Description POSITION DETAILS Responsibilities / Accountabilities Communication and working relationships Coordinate activities, resources, equipment, and information in line with project scope and definition. Liaise with contractors to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives. Prepare project proposals, timeframes, schedule, and budgets. Monitor and track project's progress and handle any issues that arise. Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants. Use project management tools to monitor working hours, budget, plans, and funding spend. Issue all appropriate legal paperwork. Report and escalate to management as needed. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports. Responsible for Preventive Maintenance updates based on the performed projects - support Maintenance. Optimisation of preventive maintenance jobs based on break down analysis and findings - support Maintenance. Participating in regular core team meetings in line with overall project status and deadlines Participation in project completion talks. Lead, setup and participate in cross-functional team meetings. Link between Plant facilities team and Plant Engineering Manager relating to site work specific to facilites - facilitate the work where and when required. Lead on behalf of Plant Engineering Manager, all substation and electrical power related work for example projects, substation maintenance, upgrades, energy saving initiatives and projects. Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act for all machinery & electrical distribution systems Responsibilities PERFORMANCE MEASURES/ SUCCESS CRITERIA The mean to measure the accomplishment of the position responsibilities Meet project delivery deadline. On time completion. Meet customer requirements and satisfaction. Achieve buy off as per outlined objectives. Ensure project is within allocated budget. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES (KSA) ; Technical skills ; Competencies ; General attributes ; Linguistic skills Excellent written and oral communication skills. Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills. Able to elicit cooperation from a variety of resources. Able to define scope of change requests and work with operation teams to size and plan delivery. Able to work with a diverse team and adapt communication styles and content to appropriate audiences. Effective communication skills to mediate disputes and uncover hidden objections or concerns. Able to anticipate and resolve problems before they happen. Adaptable to a flexible process structure. Comfortable with a startup, high growth environment where individuals sometimes serve in multiple roles. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE ;Education ;Experience National diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automation Technology or equivalent project professional experience. 3 years Experience in automated plant and project management in the automation portfolio desirable 2 years Experience in AutoCAD is desirable. Previous experience in cooperating with Project Managers for the delivery of projects Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and of project management tools Resilience, flexibility, teamwork, cost awareness. Apply Now
