Reference: PE000869-M -1Our client is looking for a qualified Facilities Manager to join their team. To manage a portfolio of properties to maintain market-related asset values and to ensure delivery of facilities management services to clients, this includes the full technical services component; to support and implement the company’s strategy and objectives. Requirements: Matric Certificate. 3 year Degree in Building Management. (Management Diploma is highly recommended.) Courses in Property/property development are considered an additional advantage. At least 8-10 years minimum experience in a variety of Operational Services and Building Services roles with Project Management experience. At least 5 years of management experience. Responsibilities: Budgeting and financial review of spend. Formal annual inspections of buildings on site with findings captured on the prescribed document. Monthly visual inspections of buildings and site in general. Informal visits to tenants. To act as the custodian of Operational Services and Building Services policies, procedures, and service level agreements and ensure that they are implemented. Controlling and planning preventative maintenance of the portfolio. Reaction and close out to reactive maintenance tasks. Meet or exceed all financial targets through monitoring and reviewing the budgets and evaluating proposed expenditures within the required/agreed timeframes. Maintain the asset value by doing proper life cycle management. Deliver value-adding services to clients and meet and exceed customer expectations of service delivery by building a culture of high-performing teams. Ensure that quality of service delivery is maintained at high levels through enforcing agreed internal controls. Meet organizational strategy through required change management and communication with customers. Meet and exceed customer expectations of service delivery by identifying needs, timeous response to queries, and providing appropriate feedback. Build trusting long-term relations with external stakeholders through monitoring and managing their expectations and attending engagement sessions. Ensure effective communication with peers in own and other departments and functions through sharing information and knowledge. Ensure robust planning is in place to deliver on objectives by timely review and approval of plans and budgets. Manage operational risks through proactive identification of potential risks and putting in plans to mitigate the risks. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by understanding these and communicating them. Improve productivity and operations through ensuring effective use of resources and effective application of systems, processes, and practices. OHSA regulations to be adhered to as well as knowledge about acts etc. Be familiar with and have a vast knowledge of the different SANS regulations about the built environment. Also sensitivity to wetlands, rivers, and Eco parks as well as landscaping to be exercised continuously. Salary: Market-related. Apply Now
