Facilities Manager - Cape Town - Cape Town Region
Description We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities. The incumbent will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and well-functioning. Key Responsibility Areas: Core Functions Be accountable for CAPEX and OPEX budgets defined for maintenance renovations and construction Plan and coordinate all installations (mechanical, architectural, electrical, structural, horticultural, etc.) and refurbishments Comprehensive understanding of scheduling and detailing in line with, Corrective, Preventive, Reactive, planned and Unplanned Maintenance or Building renovation Understanding of basic Engineering design and drawing, Ability to analyse structures and failure detection, formulate ideas to resolve structural fatigue, specify the type of maintenance required, and outline Scope Definition. Review utility consumption and strive for cost effective strategies. Align all positions to give effect to the organisation’s vision, mission, and value statement Provide resources to support operational strategies Responsible for the ongoing improvement, and continued development, of our Strategic Facilities Maintenance Plan Support and manage all stakeholders Drafting Variation orders Bills of Quantities for various Construction Works.
