Reference: JHB003195-LdS-2 The main purpose of this position is to optimise the life span of the buildings across the country by determining the maintenance requirements and creating a maintenance plan within the allocated timeframes at optimal costs while continually re-evaluating, by working with tenants (advice, assisting and supporting) to meet their maintenance obligations and balancing with the landlords' responsibilities. REQUIREMENTS: National Diploma/Degree: Facilities Management, Property Management, Project Management, Operations Management, Architecture or related FM formal qualification Experience with Industrial properties necessary Valid SA Driver's License; Experience with drafting/compilation of planning and maintaining facility budgets; Contract negotiation and handling experience; Minimum of 5 years portfolio facilities management experience; Advanced mechanical and plumbing skills; Electrical, Mechanical and General Building Infrastructure, and Project Management such as HVAC and other building systems; Willing and able to travel regularly; DUTIES: To optimise the life span of the buildings across the country by determining the maintenance requirements and creating a maintenance plan within the allocated timeframes at optimal costs while continually re-evaluating, by working with tenants (advise, assist and support) to meet their maintenance obligations and balancing with the landlords' responsibilities. Advise, support and assist tenants to ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures across the country; Advise and assist tenants to ensure all equipment and building provisions to meet best practise, health and safety requirements; Oversee and manage vacant sites in conjunction with inhouse Maintenance Manager; Organize and plan building installations and refurbishments; Liaise with inhouse Maintenance Team and communicate with external contractors and vendors; Attend to insurance claims; Plan and execute routine maintenance inspections; Draft maintenance inspection reports, and provide remedial action plan; and Prepare and implement project budgets and timeframes.
