A facilities operations supervisor (FOS) is responsible for making sure that buildings and their services meet the needs of the occupants who work in them. FOS's are accountable for soft and hard services to make sure the surrounding environment is in a suitable condition to work. FOS's may work in one or many locations, and they are generally responsible for everything to do with the physical infrastructure of the business Ensures the delivery of high value-added recommendations to the client Compiles monthly management reports – property, facilities, technical and financial Administration and Management of designated Portfolio professionally and effectively, and in accordance with the company's' specific policies and procedures in written reports. Effective management and control of energy and general utilities in the respective portfolios Daily walk about and maintenance Asset management in accordance with each building's minimum benchmarks Management of all relevant service providers and Service Level Agreements and suppliers Provide after-hours facilities / technical support / assistance on site or remotely Ensure compliance of house rules Plans, co-ordinates and controls all property, technical, and facilities management activities Effective risk management of machinery, plant, equipment, fire services and electrical reticulation Weekly inspections Control of risks as defined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Completing weekly OHASA reports to management etc. OHASA report writing Understand and manage all emergency procedures and policies Compile building inspection reports and execute the Proactive Planned Maintenance Programme Resolution management within the company's standards Mentor and manage direct reports Cultivating a high-performance culture by caring Stimulates and motivates Develops and executes talent management & succession plans Retains talent Ensure expenditure is within budget Identify, promote and gain support for improvement opportunities Compiling & budget maintenance of Repairs & Soft Services for their respective Portfolios The ability to demonstrate and prove financial savings within executing all tasks Good problem-solving skills Demonstrate Good communication and people skills, Demonstrate Excellent Report Writing skills Good written and spoken English The ability to coordinate, plan, time management working against tight deadlines The ability to work under pressure and against tight deadlines with demanding clients A service excellence attitude is a pre-requisite Accurate record keeping and excellent admin / filing skills a great advantage Matric (Grade 12) plus a Formal Qualification in Property Management or Facilities Management (tertiary qualification), with at least 5 years practical experience in a Facilities Management environment managing a team of at least 7 staff members Full Function OHASA & Evacuation Management qualification / certification Proven knowledge and experience in full function management with BMS Systems, Generators, HVAC systems, Fire Systems Demonstrate the ability to work without supervision Demonstrate Teamwork and Accountability Project management Demonstrate Computer literate – MS Office and CMMS software Demonstrate Property, Facilities & Technical ability Demonstrate management experience, managing a minimum team of 7 staff members Demonstrate responsibility in terms of Corporate Citizenship & Carbon Credit Management Demonstrate the ability to manage a budget and drive cost savings further In possession of a legal driver's license, with no endorsements an advantage No criminal record Market Related Apply Now
