This company, with an established mixed farming operation in the Vryburg district, is seeking an energetic individual to manage the Cattle, Irrigation, and Pecan Nut segments of this company in a cost-effective, optimal, profitable, and sustainable manner. The ideal candidate will preferably be between the ages of 25 and 40, with proven experience of at least five years in the respective segments. The candidate should have a strong ability to plan strategically, organise activities operationally, function independently, and exhibit an overarching ownership mentality. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the implementation of the farm’s strategy Manage daily operational activities Manage the production cycle of the pecan nuts Manage the wellbeing and numbers of the cattle herd Manage grazing Manage Pivot Irrigation Manage the workforce Maintain vehicles, implements, and infrastructure Ensure effective communication Demonstrate computer proficiency Maintain accurate record-keeping and administration Ensure farm security and cleanliness Manage and prevent fires Perform any ad-hoc tasks as requested by the company’s management A market-related salary, linked to the applicant’s skills and experience, plus leave benefits, free housing, a work vehicle, as well as a mobile phone allowance and internet access, are offered.
