An established and diverse farm in Botriver, Overberg, has a position for a dynamic Farm Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate is an honest, enthusiastic, experienced, and healthy person with good leadership skills, as well as a hardworking individual who can think independently and innovatively and take initiative.

The role requires the following responsibilities and expertise in the following aspects:

Wine grape production in liaison with our winemaker.
Olive and olive oil production.
Large and small livestock production (Cattle and milk goats).
Sound knowledge of pruning, irrigation systems and fertilization programs.
Pest and weed control in orchards and vineyards.
Good mechanical knowledge for maintenance and upkeep of all machinery and buildings.
Identifying and developing expansion opportunities.
Computer skills, administration, and accurate record-keeping.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to drive and manage staff.
General cleanliness of the farm, buildings, machinery, equipment, and tools.
Reporting to the owner.
An appropriate tertiary qualification with approximately 5 years of experience.

Area: Botrivier

Salary: R35 000 – R40 000 p.m. + benefits such as housing, company vehicle, cell phone allowance (depending on experience)
