You must have solid experience in cattle farm management and understand and speak Zulu. You will be provided with a house on the farm and a company vehicle to use for work. Cattle: Inject and identify sick animals Brand, dehorn, castrate and tattoo calves Draft cattle Run a seasonal feedlot Work out rations and quantities / day / herd Estimate Weights Ear tag and Ear notch Cropping (maize and soya): Spray crops, pesticides and herbicides Plant Crops Identify disease and pests Irrigation schedule Understanding of soil health and fertility Understanding of fertilisers Mixing of chemicals Machinery: The use of GPS The use of crop maps Setting of the following equipment: Spray Fertiliser Planter Combine Harvester Pivots and Pumps Tractors and Tillage Equipment Baling Equipment Storage of Grains and treating thereof Driving machinery General Maintenance: Cut and Weld well Strip and Fit Bearings Limited Knowledge of Electrics Maintain and look after a house, garden and swimming pool R 20000 - R 25000 - Monthly
