Reference: DUR002082-LB-1 DUR002082LB – Farm Mechanic Purpose of the job: Responsible for the overall maintenance and management of the Farm Fleet of vehicles, ie Tractors, Trucks, Bakkies, Forklifts, Excavators and Motoribikes. Required Qualifications Grade 12 Diesel Mechanic Qualification (Advantageous but will look at proven experience ) Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position Technical Competencies and responsibilities Maintaining and overhauling of Farm tractors, trucks, bakkies, forklifts, excavators and motorbikes. Farm infrastructure maintenance. Ordering and record keeping of Diesel & Petrol. Reporting and basic administration (Excel Spreadsheets). Stand-by fire fighting (on a rotational basis). Behavioural Competencies: Ability to perform under pressure. Ability to speak and understand Zulu (Advantageous). Strong verbal and written communication skills.
