Reference: JHB001000-VM-1 Global medical device supplier based in Johannesburg North requires an experienced Field Service Engineer. Experience with theatre equipment, camera systems, pneumatic drills and robotic systems is an advantage. Install, repair, disinfect and evaluate surgical / medical instruments and pneumatic equipment. Perform Preventative Maintenance, software installation and electrical safety testing of equipment according to company AG Service documentation (CoE). Diagnosis of equipment malfunctions and perform corrective action. Maintain documentation on new equipment, inspections and equipment repairs and failures. Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel regarding equipment operation and maintenance. Review outcome of preventative maintenance actions and make recommendations to department staff concerning improvements. Arrange service activities according to the schedule matrix. Attend to customer call outs. Manage and arrange back-up equipment and stock when arrived Electrical/Mechanical Engineering National Diploma / B-Tech degree or similar Minimum 5 -years' working experience in the medical field, preferable on theatre equipment, camera systems, pneumatic drills and robotic systems. Registration with CEASA will be preferred Hand Skills are imperative Knowledge of technical aspects of electronic equipment and its operation Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology and applied to use of biomedical equipment Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and illustrated parts drawings of biomedical equipment Ability to push/pull equipment and to kneel, stand, bend, and reach during equipment repair Skill in manual dexterity, hand-to-eye coordination, and color vision Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, planning and organizational skills High level of personal discipline Valid driver's license, passport, and a reliable vehicle. Presentable and neat, reliable, and trustworthy team member. Analytical and logical thinking ability Strong Excel and Word skills Able to travel extensively into other provinces and the SADC countries when required Must take accountability for his/her actions when dealing with equipment used on patients Monthly plus Basic salary, car allowance, fuel, medical aid, provident fund, 13th chq
