Finance Manager - IGSM - Marshalltown

Manager: Finance (IGSM) One of the 4 Major Banks is hiring a Manager, Finance, IGSM, with 5-7 years experience, the successful incumbent will render full financial management services to various areas in the bank, through engagement and the leading of teams. Developing and implementing processes, systems, and controls in the finance area. This is an 8 Month contract Key Responsibilities Support financial information Adhere to sound financial principles in addition to implementing and challenging sound financial principles. Continuously adhere to all existing policies and procedures. Establish, maintain, and challenge key financial controls over the monitoring and reporting of trial balance. Prepare and review the substantiation of all financial controls. Complete and/or review analytical investigations on a continuous basis as well as ad hoc projects. Ensure preparation and review of management accounts in a timely manner to all relevant stakeholders. Deliver on ad hoc requests from group finance and business in a timeous manner. Provide relevant reports and insights on all financial management activities Assume accountability for all management information packs produced and circulated to y our relevant stakeholders and including the interpretation thereof. Plan and coordinate information from financial managers on a daily, monthly, annual, and ad hoc basis. Compile, present, and interpret all financial results. Anticipate, design, and implement financial reporting per stakeholder requirements without Comprising financial integrity. Collaborate and adhere to the Group reporting team deliverables. Understand and drive the cost and recovery outcomes of your area. Be a trusted advisor to business Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders at varying levels of responsibility to achieve business objectives. Support the business teams in creating a finance partnership. Obtain an understanding of the business environment and processes which are being supported to add value and to participate in the appropriate decision-making to occur. Recommend measures of improvement for your stakeholder and finance stakeholders. Influence stakeholders by challenging the status quo to add value. Through innovation provide a value-added service to stakeholders. Ensure stakeholder’s expectations are managed and influenced appropriately. Ensure effective change management of all finance-led initiatives into business with the relevant business stakeholders. Monitor risk and ensure compliance. Enforce the Group guidelines and policies around financial management and financial control. Ensure that all risk issues are managed properly, and incidents are reported timeously to all relevant stakeholders. Partner and comply with relevant risk and compliance regulatory frameworks for all finance activities. Ensure reputation and/or business risk is managed appropriately. Ensure that mandatory compliance training in finance is driven effectively. Adhere, implement, and review sound financial principles for the various areas. Continuously improve procedures and adherence to existing policies and share these across the area to promote standardisation and best practice. Support the transfer recovery cycle and methodologies Review, implement, approve, and maintain the transfer recovery/transfer pricing cycles for all financial cycles. Continually seek to improve the transfer recovery/transfer pricing methodology. Ensure continuous stakeholder communication and knowledge sharing of recoveries for all relevant financial cycles/processes. Monitor and ensure compliance of transfer pricing methodology to wider group policies in line with governance framework Direct, monitor, manage and support the team in delivering on agreed performance and strategic goals Direct, monitor, manage and support your team in delivering agreed performance goals. Proactively drive own development plans and facilitate development of junior staff, where applicable. Execute the organisational structure for the area to ensure that current and future business requirements can be met. Support managers with their recruitment decisions on request. Participate in departmental goal and performance rating quality review (moderation) processes. Manage the performance management process of direct and indirect reports from goal setting, personal development planning, continuous performance monitoring, and formal evaluation and appraisal of annual performance contracts. Ensure that direct reports have leave plans in place for their areas to ensure business continuity. Consider the impact of your actions on direct and indirect reports while driving financial deliverables. Manage poor performance appropriately. Ability to deal with difficult conversations with relevant stakeholders. Qualifications B Commerce with Honours CIMA and CA (SA) Experience 5-7 Years Financial Accounting Apply Now
