Our client is a diversified group operating in the financial services sector that is seeking a Financial Manager Executive Summary CA (SA) Essential Articles/training contract completed at a small firm (having worked across the entire business) Must be proficient in consolidations Must be proficient in Excel Must have Post Articles Financial Management experience Financial Services experience advantageous but not essential EE/AA - Female Essential Maintain and manage the requirements of various group companies, subsidiaries, trust and associates from a day to day accounting position in an accurate and up-to-date state at all times. Maintain and manage all VAT, tax and other statutory requirements of the above entities. Prepare regular monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and other statutory requirements Preparation of group consolidation on a monthly basis and liaising with subsidiary CFOs, accountants in getting Trial balances, management accounts for the consolidation process. Assist the Chief Financial Officer and Group Financial Manager with adhoc information and reports from time to time. Assist in maintaining adequate systems of control and risk management throughout the group. Dealing with the general accounting management functional issues. To perform the full accounting function from source to trial balance and management accounts level Managing and co-ordinating monthly reporting, budgeting processes. preparation of budgets and consolidated budgets for board purposes. Oversee finances and ensure all reporting is done in line with company policies, and applicable accounting standards. Assist in ensuring the company and group has effective internal audit procedures and manuals. Specific duties will include but are not limited to:- daily cash management full debtors and creditors function bank reconciliations monthly accruals intercompany loan balancing balance sheet analysis and reconciliations updating the fixed assets register SARS submissions and payments (IT, VAT, PAYE, DWT etc) year-end audit file preparation BEE audit preparation updating contracts register Annual financial statements preparation liaising with internal and external auditors assist with the preparation of ARC, Board meeting packs any other duties that may arise in the course of business CA (SA). 5 years post articles experience in a financial manager role Financial services experience advantageous. Experience in operational finance. Experience in preparing group consolidated accounts and financial statements Detail orientated. Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills. A team player with the ability to work independently. A curious, robust, and self-motivated individual with a drive for financial accounting discipline. A desire to improve end-to-end financial accounting and reporting processes. R800 000 - R900 000 Per Annum
